Steve Tredinnick is a wildlife artist and photographer, specialising in the spectacular birdlife of the Blue Mountains.
Steve can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
The magnificent Wedge-tailed Eagle, Australia’s largest raptor with a wingspan of over two metres, is a familiar sight soaring high above the valleys and along the escarpments, and features prominently in Steve’s work.
His greatest privilege has been to study a resident pair in the Capertee Valley for more than a decade, documenting their annual breeding cycles from inconspicuous photographic hides, overlooking their massive eyries constructed on the slopes of a mountain.
The resultant paintings and photography represent the fulfilment of a lifelong passion he has for these birds.
Steve will once again be showing his work at the Braemar Gallery, Springwood, with the exhibition This Wild Thing opening on Easter Saturday, 2011.
